There are more gentle schemes, drawn up, nevertheless, taking into account the main principles of mono-diet: consumption of large volumes of liquid (water, green or herbal tea), rejection of all other products, short duration of the diet.

On the day you can eat no more than 150 g of this product, and in the evening before going to bed a glass of low-fat kefir is allowed. A sparing variety of pome diets allows you to eat a plate of oatmeal for breakfast on water prepared without sugar, salt and spices. Lunch and dinner should consist of pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds.

Such a food system has its own nuances, by adhering to which, you can achieve the most successful result in the fight against extra centimeters and kilograms:

  • the need to drink a minimum of one and a half to two liters of liquid: water, green or herbal tea without sugar. Coffee, mineral water, sugary and carbonated drinks, cocoa are better to postpone until the end of the diet;
  • it is better for the body to digest the seeds, which are slightly dried in the oven or in a pan, since the over-cooked ones significantly lose their beneficial properties. You can also eat raw seeds, if this does not feel discomfort in the gastrointestinal tract;
  • you need to go out of the diet gradually, with the addition of one type of vegetables daily for 6-7 days. On the seventh day, you can add fruits or berries, on the tenth – lean meat;
  • the liquid must be drunk half an hour before meals or one hour after;
  • during the diet you need to abandon heavy physical exercises, it is better to give preference to cycling and hiking or light cardiovascular exercises.

Restrictions and possible harm

Diet on sunflower seeds or pumpkin has a list of contraindications to which you need to pay attention. Among them:

  • lactation.

Since sunflower seeds are saturated with fats, they create a serious load on the digestive organs. The stomach, gallbladder and intestines can react to such a diet with pain, heartburn and disruption.

Adhering to a diet on seeds for longer than a week will be not only difficult, but also harmful. In addition, nutritionists generally question its effectiveness due to the high calorie content of the product.

At the end of the stressful period of restrictions on food, the body can dramatically return everything that was left during the diet. And the results usually do not exceed 6-7 kilograms, and even these figures are more likely an exception. Less than one or two kilograms is a more common result.

A diet on seeds is an unusual way to lose a few extra pounds. It does not require much time for preparing dietary dishes, and you can have a snack or dinner with seeds at any convenient time, and you do not need to carry a lunchbox with you for this. But behind the apparent simplicity, one should not forget that the diet requires prior consultation with a doctor, and also has a list of contraindications.
