Wine diet

Wine is the oldest natural alcoholic beverage made by human hands. The origin of the wine, as well as its age, is not known for certain. It is believed that the first wines were made in Asia Minor or Mesopotamia more than 6000 years ago. However, there is no guarantee that this drink has not been consumed before.

Today, wine has gone beyond the borders of an ethnic homeland and has spread all over the world. Winemakers seek to invent new grape varieties to diversify the bouquet of traditional drinks and replenish the wine list of true connoisseurs. The greatest preference is given to red dry wine, and, as it turned out, not in vain.

Diet with dry red wine is a non-standard but effective way to lose weight in a short time. Of course, this diet has nothing to do with binge drinking, and alcoholism often becomes the cause of the occurrence of excess weight.

This drink is made from grapes that grow in a temperate climate. For this, only wine varieties called “black” are used. Wine acquires a red color due to the special pigment that is contained in the peel of grapes – anthocyanin.

Traditionally, chemicals and dyes are not used in the manufacture of wine – so, unlike other types of alcohol obtained as a result of distillation, this drink retains its useful properties by default. In essence, wine is nothing but fermented aged grape juice.

Disputes about the benefits and harms ceased long ago, after it was scientifically confirmed the positive impact of wine on the human body. It promotes health promotes exactly red, less – pink, white – almost neutral.

Slimming wine

Often, dry red wine is recommended for people who are sedentary. Lose weight by drinking a few sips of this drink after a meal, you can even without a diet. This principle is actively used by the French – a nation that is not familiar with being overweight.

It is dry red that helps break down glucose, slows down the intake of carbohydrates in the blood and removes “bad” cholesterol from the body. Proteins are also digested more slowly, making saturation faster. Wine can be combined with a carbohydrate-free diet or be the main component of a weight loss program.

General recommendations for short-term wine diet:

  • eliminate sugar and other carbohydrates from the diet;
  • do not eat salty foods;
  • limit consumption of drinks other than wine and still water;
  • moderate physical activity;
  • Avoid driving and potentially hazardous activities.

Today, the wine diet exists in two variations and lasts an average of 3-5 days. To increase this period is not recommended in order to avoid the development of alcohol dependence.

The first version of the diet is more benign and its menu includes protein foods and some carbohydrate-containing foods:

  • breakfast – cucumber or tomato with hard-boiled egg;
  • lunch – 1-2 sour apples;
  • lunch – 200 g low-fat cottage cheese with fresh herbs;
  • dinner – 200-250 g dry red wine.

All types of alcohol have a diuretic effect. To compensate for fluid loss, you can drink dietary oatmeal jelly. For its preparation, it is necessary to mix in equal proportions oat, wheat and rye flakes or bran. The crushed mixture is simmered until a sticky mass is formed and filtered after cooling.

In winter, you can warm up and treat yourself to a glass of mulled wine instead of a traditional evening wine. The dietary version of this drink excludes sugar and honey, but the lack of sweetness is compensated.

To prepare a warming drink for 1 a liter of dry wine you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1-2 sweet and sour apples;
  • juice of half a lemon;
  • cinnamon sticks;
  • cloves;
  • grated ginger;
  • nutmeg;
  • cardamom;
  • black peppercorns;
  • orange peel.

Spices are mixed in individual proportions and added to wine along with crushed apples. On a slow fire bring mulled wine to a boil, but do not boil. Such a drink is an effective remedy against frostbite and for the prevention of colds.

The second version of the diet refers to the extreme and its menu is no different variety. For several meals, you need to distribute one bottle of wine and up to 300 of hard cheese or curd. Such a diet is more suitable for holidays or weekends, since alcohol is consumed during the day. The last meal should be no later than 18: 00.

For weight reduction, preference should be given to natural wine varieties of Cabernet, Merlot, Bordeaux, Sauvignon, etc. Alcoholic beverage has the ability to whet your appetite, so it is important to soberly assess your strength so that the weight does not return.

Wine Diet Results

The use of dry wine in small quantities is allowed by such food systems as the Montignac method or the Ducane diet, which indicates its harmlessness to the figure. By following the wine diet correctly, you can lose 3-5 kg in 3-5 days. You can repeat the course no earlier than two months later.

Weight loss occurs due to cleansing the body of toxins, toxins, excess “bad” cholesterol and speeding up metabolic processes. Attention is drawn to the fact that weight loss is the result of loss of fluid in large quantities. During the wine diet, drinking mode plays an important role in preventing dehydration.

Reviews of the wine diet confirm its effectiveness, but losing weight warn that it is quite difficult to withstand. Reduced calorie intake of the main diet can lead to a breakdown, so the exit from the diet should be competent and smooth.

Since the wine, despite its benefit, refers to alcoholic beverages, before starting the course you should make sure that there are no contraindications. You can not experiment with wine with these diseases:

  • acute and chronic pancreatitis;
  • increased acidity;
  • peptic ulcer of the gastrointestinal tract;
  • gout;
  • liver damage;
  • frequent headaches, migraine.

It is strictly forbidden to drink alcohol to pregnant and lactating women, adolescents and the elderly, suffering from hypertension. It is dangerous during a wine diet to get behind the wheel or to perform work associated with a risk to human health and life.

Hippocrates said that wine is a drink that adapts to any organism. Wine diet may not bring the desired plummet, but high spirits during the course days are guaranteed.
