Mesotherapy and biorevitalization – feel the difference

Staying young is easy – just have enough money and be aware of the anti-age innovations. But to understand cosmetology terminology can be difficult, given that one procedure often complements another or is a variation of it.

You have probably heard about mesotherapy and biorevitalization. But to understand which is better, mesotherapy or biorevitalization is not easy. What is more relevant for your skin if you need 30? And if for 45, but you do not have deep wrinkles? Having understood the essence of the procedures and seeing the fundamental differences between them, you can come to the right decision.

Mesotherapy – technique, technique, varieties

For more than 150 years, mesotherapy and its means have been improved. But the essence and algorithm of the procedure remained unchanged: a vitamin solution with bioactive components – the so-called mesotherapy cocktail – is introduced into the target skin area to a depth of 1,5-6 mm. The penetration depth of the needle is not accidental, it is precisely at this distance from the upper layer of the epidermis that the middle, structural layer begins (hence the name “mesotherapy”).

The total effect of the procedure is expressed in rejuvenating the skin at a structural level, improving its condition. Healthy skin is clean smooth skin without age spots, acne, fine wrinkles, vascular network, scars, stretch marks, etc. Mesotherapy completely copes with its task.

Procedure

A cocktail to a certain depth is injected into the treated area of the skin (the crow’s feet area, the area around the mouth, nasolabial folds) using a syringe with a thin needle or a meso-injector. Due to some conveniences, a meso-injector is more often used, since it injects at a fixed depth, regulates the frequency of injections and the amount of cocktail consumed per injection. In one session, about 500 random injections at the target site can be made.

Mesotherapy

With mesotherapy, a vitamin cocktail is introduced

Composition of cocktail

Most often these are amino acids, peptides, vitamins, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid. The composition varies depending on the purpose of the procedure. The cosmetologist selects a cocktail individually for each client. Today, many cosmetic brands produce rich cocktails with which enough 5-6 sessions to achieve a lasting effect.

Types

If you have analyzed what exactly will help you: biorevitalization or mesotherapy, and you have chosen mesotherapy, the cosmetologist will offer you several derivative procedures. Among them is meso-resolution, which is designed to destroy subcutaneous fat, or mesoporation, when an ampoule with a solution is rubbed into the skin with a mesoscooter, without using a needle.

The essence of biorevitalization

Biorevitalization is a mesotherapeutic technique that involves the injection of drugs based on hyaluronic acid into problem areas of the skin. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is effective in the formation of wrinkles, ptosis of the cheeks, eyelids, eyebrows, and age spots.

For skin, it (HA) is of particular value, if only because it is part of its biological structure. Getting into the structural skin layers by injection, hyaluronic acid strengthens the skin, tones, making up for its shortage. Thus, the main cause of skin aging is partially eliminated. First, hyaluronic acid temporarily resumes the initial shape of the face, then the body begins to synthesize it on its own.

Hyaluronic acid

The main element of biorevitalization is hyaluronic acid.

How does this happen?

A biorevitalization session is an injection of hyaluronic acid by the papular method, i.e. in the upper layer of the epidermis. The doctor makes punctures at the same distance from each other, according to a certain pattern.

Anesthesia for biorevitalization is not needed, but the reviews contain information that the procedure is rather painful. Therefore, an anesthetic cream is applied to the surface of the skin, which partially reduces the discomfort.

Preparations for biorevitalization

The main active ingredient in the composition of the preparations is unstabilized hyaluronic acid with a concentration of 10-20 mg / ml. Manufacturers prefer not to combine hyaluronic acid with other elements, so mono-composition drugs prevail on the cosmetic market.

Biorevitalization or mesotherapy, both of these procedures are based on minimally invasive intervention in the skin structure. These are atraumatic procedures that are aimed at eliminating signs of age-related skin aging.

The main differences

Having learned the essence of two different techniques, you will realize that none of them is better than the other. They are effective each in their field, despite the fact that the testimony to them is almost the same.

The main difference between mesotherapy and biorevitalization is the different injection techniques. Mesotherapy is hundreds of arbitrary punctures with a fixed dose of the drug, and biorevitalization involves injections at specific points located at an equal distance from each other.

During mesotherapy, a greater number of injections are carried out. Penetration of the needle is not as deep as with biorevitalization. The number of injections is greater. Injection sites are not indicated on the skin.

  • Preparations and their composition

The mesotherapy cocktail has a liquid, watery consistency. Hyaluronic acid contains not more than 1 mg. Mesotherapeutic drugs are multicomponent and are designed to enrich the skin with vitamins, restore the cellular matrix. They eliminate the signs of aging and their causes, but indirectly.

Mesotherapy Syringes

Various vitamin complexes can be used in mesotherapy

The drug for biorevitalization is a gel with a minimal complex of auxiliary ingredients, where the main active ingredient is hyaluronic acid. It evens out the skin texture from the inside, contributing to the activation of its natural production.

Another important difference between mesotherapy and biorevitalization is the different duration of the effect. The paths to his achievement are also different.

Mesotherapy is carried out in 5-10 sessions with a short time interval. After a set of procedures, the skin condition gradually improves, wrinkles become less pronounced, age spots and acne disappear. The result lasts about a year.

After biorevitalization, the effect occurs almost immediately after the procedure. The skin smoothes, brightens – exactly for 10-14 days, after which the procedure must be repeated. 3-4 sessions help consolidate the result for 6-9 months. Although it all depends on the drug and the concentration of hyaluronic acid in it.

In other words, mesotherapy is always a set of procedures. Biorevitalization can be done once, and the effect will still be.

  • Problem Zone Processing Scheme

Point injections at a specific distance differ from multiple punctures in one zone. The first is characteristic of biorevitalization, the second is of mesotherapy.

As you can see, to the question of what is the difference between mesotherapy and biorevitalization, many answers can be given that demonstrate the difference between them. From the point of view of theory, one can also note the semantic differences, which are as follows. Mesotherapy is the generic name for many injection-based procedures, while the concept of biorevitalization refers exclusively to hyaluronic acid injections.
